Natural Remedy for Constipation

Constipation is the most base gastrointestinal complaint. Unfortunately, many of the most base remedies only give temporary relief so they are repeated time and again. This can worsen the real intuit for the constipation and cause more problems.

In order for food to move straight through your intestines and out, you need two things - an unblocked tube (intestine) for waste to move straight through and muscular contractions called peristalsis. Peristalsis is a wave-like request for retrial that starts at one end and continues in a "wave" to the other end of your "tube" or intestine.

Coconut Water

If your qoute is lack of peristalsis, or weak muscular contractions, fiber alone will not create peristalsis. Forcing your muscles into an very strong contraction by using a stimulant such as a laxative will not work well for long-term relief. In fact, this ultimate reaction can cause your body to weaken as it becomes dependent on the stimulant.

Natural Remedy for Constipation

Another intuit for constipation may be blockage - old waste that never left your small intestine. This old buildup must be softened and removed in order for your principles to function efficiently on its own. Since determined types of fiber can soften this, some believe fiber is all that is needed to alleviate constipation. However, although fiber may soften blockage, it may not stimulate peristalsis. If this is the case, the fiber may swell in your body and contribute to your constipation.

You can address both of these problems with a colon cleanse. A cleanse can allow you to strengthen your peristalsis and moderately break down and take off the old buildup at the same time. Start by breaking down the old waste with a strong fiber such as psyllium but be sure to convert your eating habits to stimulate peristalsis to move the waste out. If your peristalsis needs extra help, use cascara sagrada or triphala as these herbs work to naturally stimulate the intestines to work.

Eat healthy foods during your colon cleanse such as fresh fruits, vegetables, water and whole, minimally processed grains. These will naturally stimulate your digestive tract. As with any muscle, the more you use your intestinal muscles, the stronger they get.

A healthy diet over a long period of time is necessary. These whole and natural foods are easier for your body to dispell than white flour or processed foods, which turn to a glue-like substance in your digestive tract, creating constipation or worsening an existing problem.

The early stages of your colon cleanse is the time to use other natural constipation remedies such as fresh fruit juices that have their own fiber, herbal teas, and determined dried fruits such a prunes. If you use a laxative, try to moderately wean off of it by cutting the number you take each day and replacing it with herbs such a cascara sagrada or triphala. (Of course if your laxative is prescription, check with your doctor, first.)

By combining fiber and herbs that moderately stimulate your intestines to work as in a colon cleanse, you can help your body to break down the waste and move it through. As you eat properly and take your colon cleanse supplements, the fiber and herbs travel straight through your intestines. Some of the fiber will stay behind and bind with the old buildup along the intestinal walls, softening it. This softened buildup will finally dislodge and it too will leave the body.

As the buildup becomes less, and you continue eating well, your large and small intestines will be freer to move, thus creating stronger peristalsis. Again, the healthy diet eaten during a colon cleanse will add nourishment and heighten the function of your digestive tract foremost to a healthier and stronger system.

As with any practice it takes time. Your body can handle junk and processed foods sometimes, but widespread you need fresh, whole fruits and vegetables, their juices, abundance of water, and whole, minimally processed grains. This is the only long-term, holistic solution to a healthy digestive tract.

Use a colon cleanse to start clearing your digestive tract of old buildup. combine a healthy diet and perhaps bodywork to ensure success. Learn more about the right way to cleanse at Springclean-cleanse.com.

The Beauty of One Ingredient: Coconut Water
Vita Coco is about hydration, and hydration is important no matter what you do. So while other beverages claim to be the before-, during-, and after-sports hydrator, Vita Coco is the hydrator made without added sugars, artificial sweeteners, or pick-me-ups.

In fact, the beauty of Vita Coco is that it's made with 100% pure coconut water from young, green Brazilian coconuts. (Okay, so in this case we also added a touch of 100%-pure pineapple for a refreshing splash of flavor.)

The coconuts that are used to make Vita Coco drinks are young, green coconuts -- each one cracked by hand -- from northern Brazil that have an average age of about seven months, which is the best age to extract coconut water because it's still fat-free.

Hydrate Naturally with Five Essential Electrolytes
Sure, you may not be a marathon runner, a football player or Tour de France winner, but your every day life is hectic enough--you should be hydrated while you live it. Go ahead, get hydrated and remember that life is a sport!

Loaded with the five essential electrolytes that your body craves -- including potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorous -- Vita Coco has what it takes to keep you hydrated and refreshed throughout your busy day.

In fact, each serving of Vita Coco has more electrolytes and 15 times more potassium than the leading sports drink, and more potassium than two bananas (about 700 mg of potassium is in each 11.1-ounce serving size). These electrolytes work to keep the body cool, help boost poor circulation, replenish your body's fluids after exercising, and aid in the detoxification process while boosting your immune system.

This cholesterol- free, fat- free and pucker-free drink can also help soothe an upset stomach, and when paired with a healthy diet, it can even promote weight loss. All this from a single, natural ingredient, and without any artificial sweeteners or added sugars.

Pineapple: Piña Colada to the Rescue
Ahh!!! Piña Colada…There it is, the pool, the sun. Sure you may be confined to a cubicle working for the man or driving a mini-van packed with screaming kids to soccer practice, but this piña colada is like your best friend. It's there when you need it most and it'll always remind you of the better days. So sit back, hydrate yourself naturally and enjoy.

The Vita Coco Story
One evening in a Manhattan bar in February 2003, childhood friends, Ira Liran and Michael Kirban, were speaking with a couple of girls they had just met from Brazil. When asked what they missed most about their country, one of the girls, without hesitation, answered "agua de coco." Coconut water, she explained, is the most nutritious and delicious drink in the world.

The rest, as they say, is history. Two years later, the two successfully brought Vita Coco to market in a handful of stores along the East Coast. Since that fateful night in Soho in 2003, Vita Coco has not only carved a new market in the non-carbonated beverage business and redefined the alternative sports beverage category, but has also created the one of the fastest growing lifestyle beverages in North America. Now available in over 10,000 retail stores nationally, Vita Coco is a major beverage brand with a cult-like brand loyalty.

How to Find a Good Hair Moisturizer For Relaxed and Natural Black Hair

Moisturizing hair is as leading as deep conditioning to any black man who wishes to have long hair. As washing and deep conditioning the hair every day is quite impractical, a hair moisturizer is required to avoid dryness until the next wash.

Relaxed and natural black hair tends to be quite porous so loses moisture quickly. The key to long beautiful locks is to keep replacing the moisture lost. The easiest way to do this between washes is to use a good moisturizer.

Coconut Water

First things first, let's deal with a coarse misconception about oil. Oil is not a moisturizer! Oil lubricates the hair and 'seals in' any moisture you already have in the hair. If your hair is dry and fragile and you apply oil to it then you are doing your hair more harm than good. The oil will coat the hair and preclude any supplementary moisture from entering the hair which will lead to breakage.

The best moisturizers should all the time be water based i.e. The first ingredient should be water; water is in fact the best moisturizer! Good moisturizers should also contain humectants. These are ingredients which attract water from the atmosphere, glycerine being the most favorite of these. Honey is also an exquisite humectant but more ordinarily used in conditioners and not moisturizers.

Always avoid moisturizers that contain mineral oil or any other petroleum based stock in the first few ingredients. Mineral oil does nothing but coat the hair leaving it shiny but dry.

You may find that the best conditioners are the ones that are marketed to 'wet type' styles (jheri curl or wave nouveau) as they contain generally water and glycerine. S curl is particularly good.

How to use hair moisturizers is just as leading as getting the right product. If you plan to blow dry or roller set your hair, after towel drying apply a dime sized estimate of a water and glycerine based moisturizer before you apply the same estimate of heat protectant and comb through hair to evenly distribute. After the blow dry or roller set your hair will be left soft and silky to the touch and will remain like this throughout the day. If you plan to flat iron it then only apply leave in conditioner and a silicone based heat protectant to the hair.

Moisturizers should then be applied daily or as needed. Only a dime sized estimate is required for shoulder distance hair. A touch more for longer hair. all the time comb the moisturiser through the distance of the hair with a wide tooth comb to make sure that every seacoast gets its share. You can apply a bit more to the ends if desired. There is no benefit in loading your hair with moisturizer as hair is only about 10-14% water and all you are trying to do is fetch the moisture equilibrium in your hair. You are more likely to ruin your style by leaving relaxed hair seeing greasy or reverting natural hair altogether by applying too much moisturizer! When you use a moisturizer well, it should keep your hair from drying out without weighing the hair down or being sticky.

Oil free moisturizers are also good option. They contain silicones that help 'seal' the moisture into the hair but their first ingredient must also be water and hair should be washed every 3rd day to preclude build-up. Some good examples of natural oil that can be used to seal in moisture after a wash are coconut oil, avocado butter, mango butter or Shea butter. Remember that these are oils and will just lock in anything moisture you already have in your hair. It is advisable to dampen the hair slightly before applying any hair oil to it.

Natural Hair Loss Remedies

Fact: There is no sure-fire way to forestall all hair loss. However, some methods that have been used work on some people. Here are some suggestions for natural remedies to hair loss. Massage Massaging the scalp in general for a consolidate of minutes a day can stimulate blood flow to the hair follicles and in mild cases stimulate some hair growth in minor cases of temporary hair loss. There are several electric massagers on the shop that have an attachment for scalp massaging as well. An oriental recipe called Qi Gong (pronounced Chi Kung) has been used to growth circulation to the scalp and face also. Aromatherapy A blend of six drops each of lavender and bay important oils in a base of four ounces of whether almond, soybean or sesame oil massaged into the scalp and allowed to sit for 20 minutes has been used by aroma therapists to stimulate the scalp. Saw Palmetto passage There is a specific association in the middle of the prostate and hair loss for men. Saw Palmetto has been found to work in fighting benign prostatic disease by lowering levels of Dht, which is a known cause of androgenetic alopecia. More information on Saw Palmetto for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia Women on oral contraceptives or hormone therapy should not take Saw Palmetto. Nettle Root passage Nettles are rich in vitamins A and C, several key minerals and lipids that can be beneficial to the hair. Nettle Root passage has been used successfully in Europe as an inhibitor of 5-alpha reductase in treating Bph. Rosemary and Sage Rosemary and sage are two herbs that have shown advantage traditionally when used externally. Boil together in water rosemary, sage, peach leaf, nettle and burdock. Then strain the loose herbs from the liquid and use the liquid to wash the hair daily. Jojoba Oil If you are predisposed to seborrhea, eczema, psoriasis, or dandruff, you could consider using jojoba oil. Mexicans and southwestern Native American nations have used jojoba oil traditionally for centuries to promote hair growth and the operate of dandruff. Jojoba oil is great for hypoallergenic skin because it is a great moisturizer and mimics the scalp's own sebum. Aloe Vera Aloe Vera has been used by Native Americans, Indians and many in the Caribbean to promote healthy hair and forestall hair loss. Aloe's can help the scalp by healing it and balancing the pH level of the scalp while cleansing the pores. A common preparing of Aloe Vera gel with a small number of wheat germ oil and coconut milk is used as a shampoo and has traditionally shown great benefit. Henna Henna is a former Indian herb that acts as a natural conditioner and is excellent for the maintenance of healthy hair. It can help heal the hair shaft by repairing and sealing the cuticle, protecting hair against breakage and loss of shine. Polysorbate-80 Polysorbate-80 is an Fda stylish surfactant that is also stylish as a food additive. Although not proven, Polysorbate-80 is said to take off deposits of Dht and cholesterol from the scalp. Polysorbate-80 is being recommended by some naturopathic practitioners as an application for the scalp almost 15 minutes prior to shampooing. Cleansing and Detoxification Cleansing should be a major part of your regimen to avow and grow hair. Many scalp related diseases are directly the consequent of toxemia, while toxins in the body adversely affecting the body's systems indirectly influence other conditions. Cleansing can be performed through oral means usually and occasionally by enema or colonic irrigation. More remedies for detoxification Psyllium husk Fiber is vital to cleansing, and most North American diets are deficient in natural fiber. Psyllium husk is a bulking laxative agent that can be used to safely move waste through the colon. Psyllium is a very good substance as it gently scrubs the walls of the colon to take off waste that is stuck to the walls.

Exercise Finally, although exercise does precisely nothing directly to grow hair, most holistic practitioners suggest it. Exercising can enhance blood flow, the delivery of oxygen to the cells of the body, and help the digestion of foods, all things that aid the condition of hair follicles. prevent Hair Fall and Dandruff the Natural Way

Hair loss and dandruff are one of the most irritating disorders that can even make a person depressed at times.

There is a huge shop for hair disorders such as hair fall, dandruff, alopecia etc. Fellowships are making a quick buck and exploiting in the name of herbal remedies. Many of these remedies are not purely herbal and may comprise some herb as a component with inorganic and harmful chemicals as the prime component. Such products give only temporary relief, for example, anti-dandruff shampoos widely marketed, give relief only for a day or even lesser period.Ofcourse, there are genuine products in the shop and the Fellowships need not be pointed out for it is not their fault alone, but also of consumers who wants a quick remedy! Application of such temporary remedies and positively accessible products is not the right solution for the hair disorders, the solution lies in the age old systems of original medicine.

Coconut Water

Such original medicine with modern science and technology can throw some efficient long term and easy to use remedies. While I don't remember at this point of time any such ready to use natural remedy man-made by companies, I am suggesting some time tested age old original or natural methods for containing hair fall and dandruff. Though some of the methods are cumbersome or the ingredients not readily accessible, this is the only way and natural way for preventing as well as curing the irritating disorders.

prevent Hair Fall and Dandruff the Natural Way

The ripened fruits of Soap nut, botanically called Sapindus emarginatus, are soaked in hot water for 10-15 minutes and then crushed with hand in the same water to get the extract. The excerpt can be daily used beneficially with no side effects as a shampoo. It gives rich lather and can be compared in lathering property to synthetic lathering agents generally found in man-made shampoos.

Another time tested natural shampoo, is the completely ground powder of Blackgram, which should be made into a viscid paste with which the hair is washed and the scalp massaged. This is a good soap for the body also. For starters, the paste when applied, may be rough as compared to the soap, but a beautiful soap with all goodness.

Both the above, Soap nut juice and Black Gram powder are natural shampoos, with no loss of natural oil from the body and in addition are anti dandruff.

Prior to head bath the following applications are useful

Prior to shampooing or head bath, the scalp is completely massaged with a aggregate made of crushed fenugreek seeds and sour curd. Leave for 15-20 minutes and wash with the shampoos suggested above.

People who do not like to apply oil in day times may apply oil like pure coconut oil before going to bed and then shampoo the natural way in the morning. This restores the lost oil from the scalp.

Another remedy widely used in India and known as a c-vitamin rich fruit all over the world, Powder of Indian Gooseberry is an exquisite rejuvenator for the hair. It brings lustier, prevents or contains dandruff and helps advance the roots.

There are any such remedies, but entrance to the raw materials or genuine products is a question in addition to the time intriguing preparations. At least select a stock that has less of synthetic components and more of naturals. Never go for a shampoo full of chemicals, just because it gives tons of lather!

Itchy Scalp, Natural Scalp Treatments: Using A Natural Home Remedy For Itchy Scalp Conditions

Yes it can be very annoying and embarrassing having a scalp condition like dandruff, eczema, scalp infections or a nasty itchy red rash on your scalp.

If you are suffering from:

Coconut Water

Itchy Scalp, Natural Scalp Treatments: Using A Natural Home Remedy For Itchy Scalp Conditions

scalp picking - do you permanently find yourself picking at & scratching?

oily scalp and limp hair leaving you feeling less than your best

embarrassing dandruff falling on your clothes

or even a fungal infection of your scalp...that can lead to lesions or scalp sores.

Hair falling out & patches on your scalp

Your instinct might be to pick up a goods from the store shelf or your doctor. Most of these scalp treatments that promise relief from dry scalp conditions sound very enthralling until you start reading the fine print.

Sodium Laureth/Lauryl Sulphate (Sls)? What's that? Why do you have to call a Poison control town if you accidentally swallow shampoo? And what are those warning labels on the back all about? What does it do to your head if it's that toxic?

Stop! What you must know is that any chemicals, especially Sls, strip the natural oils from the skin and even corrode it, along with your eye membranes. Have you also noticed that your hair has been thinning? Well hair follicle damage is an additional one small known but very common symptom of these chemicals.

Actually, most industrial shampoos & scalp treatments are designed to meet people's "sensory" expectations...offering instant gratification and the illusion that they are doing their job. So therein lies the problem. For example adding silicone to conditioner induces an synthetic shine but in truth can generate problems long term along with sensitivities.

Most people expect a shampoo to:

Foam up nicely

Smell good

Take all the so-called "nasty" oiliness out of their hair

Make their hair feel squeaky-clean

And that's a cheap ask - think about it...if your shampoo didn't foam up, smell good, or leave your hair feeling squeaky-clean, would you trust it? Well, here's the thing: 90% of industrial shampoos perform the foaming ensue using the equivalent of machine degreasers to strip off not only dirt and grime but also important natural oils that your scalp needs.

Yes --your scalp needs natural oils. Without them, your body has no natural defence - those oils are there for a reason! Your scalp needs to enounce a natural Ph balance that if disturbed - can institute into a dry, itchy annoyed scalp. The good news is that there are many natural remedies you can use with moisturising oils and natural remarkable alternatives to heal & reverse any scalp qoute by restoring balance safely. You can unquestionably heal follicle and damage - even boost hair growth and use your own home remedy for scalp cell regeneration. There are also the synthetic aromas that are added - its alarming the huge ration of people who are mildly to severely averse or allergic to synthetic scents - resulting in itchy scalp, skin rashes etc and we don't even know it.

So what non toxic itchy scalp treatments and natural remedies can help? Well there are many non toxic shampoos which are nourishing and conditioning while still giving you're the "foam effect", they smell devine with the addition of the natural oils they contain. So you do have a choice and it does Not have to cost you more - in fact most of them are less - you just have to know what to look for.

So lets have a look at natural oils for treating your scalp...

Here are some of my favorite natural oils you can use for hair & scalp treatments.

Zinc Pyrithione: remarkable stuff for dandruff & itchy scalp conditions. First synthesized in the 1930's, this is the most widely used active ingredient from a natural source. It's used to treat dandruff, seborrheic dermatitus, psoriasis, eczema and numerous other skin and scalp disorders. It has strong anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties.

Jojoba: Is perfect as a scalp moisturiser and helps to rebalance sebum.

Tea Tree: Oily hair ... Treatment for dry scalp, dandruff, lice, and underactive sebaceous glands, enlivens the scalp and brings the cells & follicles to attention

Basil: Oily hair ... Promotes growth

Chamomile: Fine to general hair ... Gives golden highlights

Clary sage: All types of hair ... Dandruff treatment

Lavender: general hair ... Scalp Treatment for itchiness, dandruff, and even lice!

Lemon: Oily hair ... Gives golden highlights; Treatment for dry scalp, dandruff, lice, and underactive sebaceous glands

Myrrh: Dry hair ... Treatment for dry scalp, dandruff, lice, and underactive sebaceous glands

Patchouli: Oily hair ... Dandruff treatment

Peppermint: Dry hair ... Promotes hair growth

Rose: Fine hair ... Soothes scalp

Unrefined Virgin Coconut Oil: Itchy Scalp, Dry Scalp perfect for itchy scalp, dry scalp and dandruff

Rosemary: Oily hair ... Dandruff treatment; promotes hair growth

Tea tree: Oily hair ... Treatment for dry scalp, dandruff, lice, and underactive sebaceous glands

Ylang-ylang: Oily hair ... Dandruff treatment

Neem: ... A wonder oil from India. Neem is remarkable for all of the remarkable "stuff" it does. It's also derived from a type of tree bark. Neem is an efficient fungicide and insecticide (great for head lice when used with geranium, rosemary, lavender and eucalyptus oils). In clinical studies Neem extracts and oil were found to be as efficient as coal tar and cortisone in treating psoriasis with none of the usual side effects accompanying the use of Neem as there was with Coal tar and cortisone. Neem extracts and oil removes redness and itching when applied directly to your scalp...and it's a great skin conditioner. Best of all its perfect for relieving itching fast.

The best part of knowing that there are alternatives is that you can have mix these into super remarkable blends like a super moisture boosting home remedy for dry scalp, or soothing itchy scalp treatments. Dry itchy scalp can be dealt with fast and permanently without spending a ton on primary scalp med products.

Here's just one easy remedy you can make today:

Home remedy for dry itchy scalp Take ¼ c oatmeal and soak in water for 20 mins. Mix well and then strain the liquid adding it to a cup. Add 5 drops lavender oil (or lavender stalks steeped in ¼ cup hot water. Add 5 drops rosemary (or rosemary stalks steeped in ¼ cup hot water. Allow to cool until tepid.

Mix the liquids together and dab on your scalp...leave in for 10 mins to soothe the itch. This a good temporary soother for itching. Chamomile tea is also soothing!

There are hundreds of ideas that are perfect scalp treatments from dandruff to scalp infections like scalp sores & psoriasis. These remedies combined with the knowledge of what causes itchy scalp and other scalp conditions will enable you to be free from itching, dryness and allow you to grow fabulously thick, shiny beautiful hair also.....so have fun experimenting and "luxuriating" by giving your hair a treat using the many natural gifts from nature that are right under our noses! There are also many natural shampoos that so not use these ingredients and do wonders for your hair such as Akin shampoo, and Thursday Plantation which is remarkable as an efficient anti-dandruff shampoo.

I have included a few more remedies and uses for oils below. There are many many more in "Beautiful Hair & healthy Scalp Secrets & Remedies " and a list of shampoos that are not toxic. They are nourishing & repairing for your scalp & hair.

Vita Coco Coconut Water Variety Pack, 17-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12) Overview

One evening in a Manhattan bar in February 2002, childhood friends, Ira Liran and Michael Kirban, were speaking with a couple of girls they had just met from Brazil. When asked what they missed most about their country, one of the girls, without hesitation, answered "agua de coco." Coconut water, she explained, is the most nutritious and delicious drink in the world. Two months later, Liran traveled to Brazil and started researching the prospect of branding coconut water for the American market. He realized the girl's enthusiasm for the beverage was not exaggerated—Brazilians just can't get enough coconut water. After spending several months working with coconut plantations and producers, making connections, and learning the politics of production in Brazil, Vita Coco was born. Meanwhile, Kirban started the initial market research in New York. Meeting with distributors and beverage insiders, he quickly realized the tremendous consumer interest in "functional beverages." He spoke with several distributors who then introduced Kirban to some of their key accounts. The response was fantastic. Three years later in 2005, the two successfully brought Vita Coco to market in a handful of stores along the East Coast. Now, six years after that fateful night in Soho, Vita Coco has not only carved a market in the non-carbonated beverage business, but is also redefining the alternative sports beverage category.

The two most vital ingredients in any process in your body are oxygen and water. You can barely go a day without water and not even more than a merge of minutes without oxygen. When the metabolic process occurs in your body, oxygen is one of the vital components for this reaction to take place. By being properly oxygenated, you keep your body's oxygen levels high and your metabolism stays at an optimum level.

When you exercise, for instance, you growth your body oxygen intake and consequently you growth your metabolism. Most of us have come to be accustomed to shallow breathing, but by deliberately breathing properly you can oxygenating your system. Permissible breathing happens in the lower area of your lungs where your oxygen capacity is highest. A deep breath should be in your diaphragm - just watch a sleeping baby breathe and you will know how 'natural breathing occurs.

Deliberate breathing is a highly efficient natural metabolism booster. Here is a straightforward breathing technique that will help you raise your metabolism:

You should breathe in the following ratio 1:4:2 (Inhale through your nose exhale through your mouth.)

Inhale for 1 count

Hold for 4 counts

Exhale for 2 counts

If you inhale for 3 seconds, you would hold for 12 seconds and exhale for 6 seconds. You exhale twice as long as you inhale because that is when you eliminate toxins from your body via the lymphatic system. When you hold you can fully oxygenate your system and allow oxygen exchange.

You must stop and take at least 10 deep breaths a minimum of 3 times a day.

Even when you stop and do these 10 deep breaths you will 'feel' a surge of power go through your body. This is because you are allowing more power to be released and as you continue to use this straightforward rehearsal you can start to turn your habitual breathing patterns which for most citizen are quite shallow.

Equally foremost to your body's metabolism is water. 90% of your body is water and when it comes to metabolism water is probably the most foremost component. Water is a means of 'transport' in your body and is responsible for getting the right stuff to the right places. Even more importantly though is water's function as a natural solvent. All nutrients and toxins dissolve into water to be transported and whether used or eliminated.

By drinking plentifulness of water and breathing properly you can greatly growth your metabolism. In fact, these two natural metabolism boosters will probably growth your metabolism more than anyone else.

Soy products are probably the worst goitrogen offenders, first of all because cooking does not destroy the anti-thyroid substances in them. Second of all, studies show they are in 70% or more of all foods on our grocery shelves in the form of soy oil, vegetable oil, texturized vegetable protein, soy flour, soy protein isolate, etc. We have been told for quite a while now that soy is good for us, so you may find it hard to believe that soy can unmistakably promote weight gain by interfering with thyroid function. However, there are many studies to back up this claim, so we very propose that you result this recommendation to avoid all soy products, except small amounts of fermented soy like natural soy sauce, tempeh and miso.

Thyroid Booster #2: cut Refined Foods and Vegetable Oils

Refined grains and sugars, as well as being bad for you in many other ways, put too much stress on the thyroid and can interfere with good thyroid function. In addition, vegetable oils have been proven to fatten up animals, but also cause them thyroid and other problems, together with cancer. So if you want to have a healthy thyroid, cut your consumption of all vegetable oils -- this includes canola, corn, and soy. This also means not eating out or eating packaged foods very much, as restaurants and packaged foods often contain some of these oils.

Thyroid Booster #3: Add Natural Sources of Iodine to Your Diet

Some natural sources of iodine that seem to be well used by the body contain unrefined sea salts, kelp, bladderwrack and other seaweeds, eggs, butter, and most sea-foods, especially cold-water deep-sea fish. Fish sauce is also a rich source of iodine if properly prepared, and is often used in Thai cuisine. It may also be useful to contribute extra iodine in your diet by taking kelp or bladderwrack extracts or another herbal method that contains seaweeds as well as other herbs that can be helpful for nourishing the thyroid gland.

Thyroid Booster #4: Add Minerals and Vitamins that maintain Thyroid Function

Zinc, chromium, selenium and manganese are all minerals that have been shown to maintain the thyroid. You can add more minerals to your diet in a natural form that will help maintain your thyroid gland by using a whole food based greens supplement and/or coral calcium which contains trace minerals like zinc and selenium.

One of the most useful vitamins for the thyroid gland is vitamin A, although B, C and E vitamins complexes are also important. Those with hypothyroid often have problems converting beta-carotene to vitamin A, so it is important that you get some real vitamin A. Never take artificial vitamin A, as studies have shown it to be toxic at higher levels.

Many, if not most of the vitamins you find in the stores today are isolated nutrients that come from artificial sources. This is ordinarily because these vitamins cost less to institute than vitamins from living food sources. However, vitamin supplements that are artificial do not contribute all the co-factors essential for your body to fully apply that supplement. So, these products may bring much needed nutrients to your body in the short term, but over the long term will likely cause other problems in your body. Although they are difficult to find, it's worth it for your condition to seek out only 100 percent whole food supplements and super foods.

Thyroid Booster # 5: Get More Exercise, Especially Rebounding

Exercise is also good for your thyroid -- any kind. A rebounder can be especially helpful, but all practice will stimulate the thyroid gland secretion and will help growth the sensitivity of your cells to the thyroid hormones. If you are too tired to get much exercise, you might want to think about adding coconut oil to your diet or maybe some good super foods to help boost your energy levels so that you feel like exercising.

Thyroid Booster #6: Add Virgin Coconut Oil To Your Diet

Coconut oil, because of its metabolism-stimulating properties, seems to be an perfect thyroid theory builder. If you have problems with your thyroid, you want to be sure to contain coconut oil in your diet. Remember how we told you that animals got fatter when eating vegetable oils? Well, these same farmers then tried giving their animals coconut oil to see if that would fatten them up without the same problems their animals experienced on vegetable oils. Guess what? It made the animals more active and more lean instead! So add coconut oil to your diet today!

Thyroid Booster #7: Stop Using Fluoride in Your Water and Toothpaste

According to Cherie Calboun in "The Coconut Diet", a growing body of evidence suggests that fluoride may interfere with allowable functioning of the thyroid. This means that if your water is fluoridated, it may be very helpful for you to buy a water filter that filters out fluoride. If you're not sure, check with your water victualer -- about 50 percent of America's tap water is fluoridated today. You also want to avoid fluoride toothpastes, since some of it inevitably will be ingested.

Although none of these suggestions should take the place of your consulting a condition care practitioner, many have found that by incorporating them into their lifestyles, their thyroid symptoms got good and it became easier to lose weight.
